Shining Lights Awards Announcement.

The Diamond Trading Company (DTC) a division of the
De Beers Family of Companies, is very proud to announce
the launch of the 2012/2013 Shining Lights Awards.

The Shining Lights Awards is a DTC initiated diamond jewellery design competition launched in 1996. The diamond jewellery collection is designed largely by students in both formal and informal design colleges throughout South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. The aim of the awards is to show the world the wealth of design talent that exists in southern Africa by establishing a design platform, through which their creative artistry can be showcased using nature's most remarkable and finest creation - the diamond.

The development of the Shining Light diamond jewellery collection unfolds over a 16 month period. To launch the 2012/2013 journey, the DTC will be hosting the theme announcement and call for entry presentations, throughout Southern Africa during October and November 2011
